Principal's Message 3/16/18
Dear Canyon View Parents,
As of this morning, 248 students out of 425 are registered for the 2018-2019 school year. We are asking families to register the remaining students we expect at Canyon View next year as soon as possible. Each year the number of teachers assigned to Canyon View is determined by the number of students registered at each grade level. This includes the assignment of classroom teachers as well as teachers who teach Robotics, Art, Music, PE, and World Languages. It is important to have accurate information early in the year so that the lowest student-to-teacher ratio is identified.
The online registration process is more efficient than in the past and can be completed by visiting the Canyon View website and clicking on the Register for School link. If you need assistance, please contact our front office at 209-7701. A special thank you is extended to those families who have completed or will complete the process over the next few days. We appreciate your efforts!
The Scholastic Book Fair Begins next Monday and we are in need of volunteers. If you are able to donate a small block of time, please click on the sign-up link below:
Next week, the Canyon View Student Advisory Board will be sponsoring a food drive/spirit week starting Monday (3/26) through Friday (3/30). Students must bring in a donated food item for each day they wish to participate in the spirit week. The themed days are listed below and all donated food will be going towards the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona.
Monday (3/26): Pajama Day
Tuesday (3/27): Disney Day
Wednesday (3/28): Mustache Day
Thursday (3/29): Retro Day
Friday (3/30): Dress Like a Canyon View Teacher

Finally, the CV Fitness Challenge is over now it's YOUR TURN to step up to help us reach our $7,000 goal! The Canyon View Family & Faculty Organization is raising money to contribute to the installation of a new shade structure for the school’s primary playground! Your tax deductible donation to the CVFFO will help us accomplish this, and the class with the most donations will get a classroom eegee’s party (and school bragging rights)!
A donation of any amount is greatly appreciated! Please send in your donation before March 28.
