Principal's Message 4/20/18

Dear Canyon View Families,

Testing week is behind us and I want to thank everyone for ensuring that your child arrived at school on time and was prepared to do their best. Testing week always serves as a reminder that the school year is quickly coming to an end, and it’s hard to believe that we only have 23 school days left in the year!

As of this morning, 384 students out of 425 are registered for the 2018-2019 school year. We are asking families to register the remaining students we expect at Canyon View for next school year as soon as possible. As a reminder, our staffing numbers are directly impacted by student enrollment numbers.

The online registration process is more efficient than in the past and can be completed by visiting the Canyon View website and clicking on the Register for School link. If you need assistance, please contact our office staff at 209-7701. A special thank you is extended to those families who have completed or will complete the process over the next few days. We appreciate your efforts!

Next, I want to thank all of our amazing volunteers who have helped us throughout the year. Whether you were able to volunteer in the classroom or help out during one of our many school-wide events, we are sincerely grateful for your contributions and your unwavering commitment to our children! A special thank you goes out to our dedicated FFO executive board and to ALL of our amazing parents and staff members who helped out to make yesterday’s Spring Carnival a smashing success! School-wide events like this cannot happen without the support of our entire school community, and I encourage each and every one of our parents to consider volunteering in some capacity next year. Thank you!

Finally, below are just a few images that capture the variety of learning experiences our students have been engaged in over the past two weeks. The entire staff at Canyon View Elementary is deeply committed to the whole-child approach to educating our students, and we are routinely researching and exploring new ways to refine and improve our practice.
